The finger lakes are a series of 11 lakes and are a tourist attraction in NY. They are called the Finger Lakes because from an overhead view they look like fingers. The three major lakes, Keuka, Cayuga, and Seneca are the ones that produce the wine but the others are just as enjoyable to visit. you can take your boat out on the lakes all summer or rent canoes and kayaks. There are beaches on some of the lakes that are open to the public so family and friends can enjoy the warm days in the water. Kershaw parks is one of the many parks to swim and enjoy the day and its right here in Canandaigua.
